The game has been based on old Galaxy PBEM games running a while ago.
Some of the game features:
- turn based (currently 3 times a week)
- unlimited number of players
- unlimited Universe
- possibility to design non trivial ships with different weapons
- lots of automation to simplify managing your race when it grows up, so you can focus on doing ‘war and politics’
- existing GUI client
- the game has no end, like the Universe: players can join/quit any time
