Hidden units showing up dark instead of transparent

I’m running the Java 8 u131 and 3.2.17. My hidden units started showing up darkened instead of transparent. Any ideas on how to fix? Transparency setting for the hide/invisible function is 50%. See image in attachment.

Did you change versions of Java? Of your video driver? Does this still
occur if you restart VASSAL? Reboot your machine?

I’ve tried going back to an earlier version of Java but no luck. Restart / reboot hasn’t worked.

prior to the start of the problem?
