Try it out, and post back about your experience with it. Is the text at the top appropriate? Does it require more explanation? Is the client ok? I’d like to get any problems ironed out before making a general announcement that this exists, to avoid the hassle of trying to fix things while it’s already in use.

Joel and I were in it this morning. I was using Google Chrome with no problem. Just tried it with SeaMonkey. No problem there either. …and I believe one of the people that was in chat with us was using Firefox.
I just tried it with IE and, you’re right, no can do. But then I haven’t used IE as my default browser for over 10 years so that’s not a problem for me but it may be a problem for others.
Try now. It appears that IE doesn’t handle object elements correctly,
but does handle iframe elements. (I can’t say that IE handles iframe
elements correctly, as there is no correct way to handle them in
XHTML 1.1 documents, due to the fact that iframe doesn’t exist in
XHTML 1.1. Sigh.) I added an iframe inside conditional comments inside
the object element, so this keeps the XHTML valid and only IE should
fall back to the iframe when the object cant’ be rendered.
I’ve tested this on IE 8 on Windows XP, so I’m hopeful that this will
work on everywhere.
if so where to store logs and make public? May be useful considering the multiple timezones users may be scattered across if they want to see whats going on,catch up etc…
