Hi all. I am looking to FINALLY get a trip in to Gettysburg next spring, provided I am not tazzed and jailed at the border lol, and am interested in playing as much Gettysburg wargaming beforehand.
I have tried the Dean Essig games from CWBS to RSS to now LOB. And yes LOB seems like the one that flows the easiest. All except orders - still having issues with that.
Would really enjoy getting a PBEM if possible? For Last Chance for Victory the full battle from the traditional start would be my preference.
I would want an opponent a bit more familiar with LOB then myself to ensure I am doing orders correctly. That is the only part that makes my solo play a bit awkward. But I feel I have a solid grasp of everything else.
If you are a civil war fanatic all the better. I am more of a WW2 fanatic, but I do get the allure of the ACW. I know THAT movie gets slammed a lot for taking liberties with certain things, but its a regular staple of mine for annual viewing.
Cheers,
Dave
