However, when I tried to log in with the “Log In” link (upper right), it wouldn’t let me in after several attempts. So, I figured I would try to post a message as a “guest” explaining the problem. I got a message stating that I can’t post without logging in and gave me another chance to do so. In this case, I logged in with no problem.
Was this just a glitch or is there something wrong with the “Log in” link above?
Login problems here also but main problem is when I connect to the VASSAL server to play a game I get the below. I am running VASSAL 3.1.14 on XP

It depends on when exactly you were trying to log in. I’ve occasionally
been doing things which might break it for a few moments, so you might
have hit the end of one of those periods. If the problem persists, let
me know.
I too was able to login to the forums but not the modules area. When I click on “Login” in the upper right corner, I get this message: “Error:MediaWiki login failed: Invalid username.”
When I hit Reply in the forums, it tells me I must be logged in first. When I put in my username and password there, it works.
My experience is similar. Specifically, when I try to log in on the home page, it says either my user account or my password is wrong. So I tried creating an account under the same user name I’ve been using, but it said that user name already exists. At that point, I just reset my password (to the same password as before), and still got the same error message.
The forum required me to log in before posting this message. That worked just fine.
What I’ve seen of the new site, so far, looks marvelous.

Thanks, that’s the information I needed. You found a way into phpBB’s
login which shouldn’t exist—that’s supposed to redirect you to the
site login page.
Could someone who is having trouble logging in via the main site login and doesn’t mind revealing their password to me please email me your username and password? I don’t have access to any account for which the login fails, nor can I create one, so I have no way to troubleshoot the problem.
