Hello, my brother and I have been playing The longest Day for about 25 years. And now that we are living in different states it is nice having it on Vassal. There is a couple of tweaks that would make this game great. Both alterations deal with the counters. It would be nice to be able to “label” a unit with a number or letter (as is done on ASL). That way one could assign independent units to divisions. The other idea would be to have a “concealment”, also found in squad leader. That way your opponent would not know the units beyond a hex or two. I think both of these fixes would be easily done by a programmer and could be done with the right click and just add them to the list. These two tweaks would add a great deal to the game and maybe bring it back to life for other players that have forgotten it.
