Looking for opponent’s for PBEM:

I’m a longtime fan of AH’s 1776. Would you like to try one of the shorter scenarios? The whole war would take longer than the actual war lasted.
Hi,
I have played several campaigns and I can assure you it doesn’t take that long. Yes we need to play at least a turn every day, but the battles that need an exchange of tactical cards can be done very well and fast on ACTS, (for free), using the specific ‘1776’ module.
How long does it take to finish a campaign?
There are 12 turns per year so if you finish all 5 years, it will take ‘potentially’ 60 turns.
But I have never seen a game reach the full length. Usually the situation deteriorates rapidly so at half the campaign it will become obvious the direction the game is taking and there is no point in continuing for both parties. You stop, you congratulate your opponent and you set up another game! ![]()
Let me know what you decide.

It’s been years (decades?) since I played it so I will have to review the rules.
I wondered about the tactical cards. What is ACTS?
Ben
Hi Ben,
ACTS works y offering you a selection of cards to chose from so it’s like playing the proper game.
There is no artificial intelligence. You will only see a page with the cards selected, we then must look at the tables and see the tactical benefit +1,+2,-1 etc.
You need to register your email because when we both have selected a card we shall be sent an email.
Let me know when you are done with the registration and we can start.
