LOS Tool enhancements

Sorry that I didn’t check to see if this has been suggested but in case not, some proposed enhancements to the LOS tool (thread).

  1. Request the ability to add a graphic to replace the thread. The graphic would “reveal” more of itself as you pull away from the starting point. This could be used to replicate a tape measure for miniatures for example or a “range ruler”.

  2. If adding a graphic would be too difficult to implement, how about the ability to assign reporting based on distances. So for example, I might have a table under the properties that allows me to input:

RangeShort 3 Short Range
RangeMed 8 Medium Range
RangeLong 15 Long Range

So when the LOS thread is used, if the length of the thread is 0-3 hexes (or squares), then it will report “Short Range”. 4-8 would report “Medium Range” and so on.
