Just installed the Memoir 44 module. It says I am missing fonts. I downloaded the needed fonts, but where am I supposed to install them? I put them in the Windows FONT directory, but nothing. I put them in the VASSAL directory, nothing.

Yep. I did that, the fonts are in there but still shows they are missing.
You may want to private message bdgza, who I believe maintains that module. Or see the Module page (vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Memoir_%2744) where it provides a link to his email.
