Module description translation doesn't seem to be working

Version 3.6.10 on Mac (Ventura).

I’ve been using the translate feature for Espana 1936, and it has worked pretty well, thanks!

I did notice, however, that of all things, the translation for the module description doesn’t appear to work. When I start Vassal I still see “Una simulación histórica de la Guerra Civil española” instead of A historical simulation of the Spanish civil war" in the description. This is on the screen that shows all the modules, versions and descriptions.

Restarting Vassal after an edit does not help. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Hi, could you please post a screenshot of what you are seeing, just so I know exactly what I am looking for?

Thanks,
Brent.

Main screen. Note the description for Espana:

But, I’ve given it a translation. Shouldn’t it show the translated text?

Thanks for that.

Yes, it definitely should show the translated module name and description.

I’m looking into the possibility of doing that, but it is technically quite tricky. Thanks for the report.

Regards,
Brent.

Ok, I believe I have this problem fixed. Can you please try out the following build for me:

VASSAL-3.6.11-SNAPSHOT-e57444b-11929-MM-Translation

Thanks,
Brent.

That appears to have fixed it, thanks!

The fix will be in 3.6.11 when it’s released; we’re aiming for the end of the month.
