There’s a new release of the module Napoleon at Waterloo (2nd & 3rd Ed) - release 2.0.0
The major change in this release is that movement of pieces is only allowed under specific circumstances:
- Units can generally only move in their own movement phase.
- Units adjacent to enemy units cannot move
- Except in the Advanced variant, where cavalry units
which always may, or if the other side has been demoralised, then all units may move since the demoralised units do not exert ZOC, and - Except in the Esdaile varient, if the unit is in a fortified building, as enemy ZOC does not extend into a fortified building.
- Except in the Advanced variant, where cavalry units
- Note, if a unit is moved adjacent to an enemy unit, it cannot be moved again. If this happened by mistake, use Undo (
Ctrl+Z) to undo that move. - All units may move in combat phases to facilitate advances and retreats.
This can all be turned off in File→Preferences→Napoleon at Waterloo with the option Restrict movement.
- Another new feature - though not directly in the module - is that the release is automatically pushed to the Game Library when the source GitLab repository is tagged.
This - currently - uses custom code (as given here) to achieve this. Hopefully, the modification will be merged into main-line Vassal.
Yours,
Christian
