module versioning

Stupid question: Is there anything in VASSAL that checks to see if two players who are playing the same module are actually using the same version of the module (GameModule.moduleVersion)? Or will they just not see each other on the server if they’re running different versions of the module? What if the modules were made using different versions of VASSAL (GameModule.vassalVersionCreated)?

I don’t know the server code at all.

If the module name is the same, they should see each other on the server. If the module/VASSAL versions are different, then the player using the lower-numbered version will get a warning when loading the game.
