Someone raised the issue on ConsimWorld of why the modules should be in their own namespace in the wiki. Presently, all of the module pages have “Module:” prefixed to them to indicate that. It’s not particularly pretty, and doesn’t help with finding or categorizing modules so far as I can see, as modules already have their own category.
Hence, I’m proposing that we move the modules into the main namespace and get rid of the module namespace. (I.e., the page Module:Foo will become simply Foo.)
Tim, if we do this, I’ll write a script for it, so it won’t be any work for you. What interests me now is a discussion of the merits of doing it or not.
I initially felt it was redundant to have Module: telling me it was a module
when I was on the module page. But in the interests of wikis is there
something else it accomplishes? Does it help with external linking from
other wikis?

What I initially thought it would be good for is that it lets you search
the module pages separately from the other (documentation) pages.
All for it. We can provide variousaccess options to the moduleswith the
different category tags we’ve been building up (Era, Publisher, Alphabetical,
Topic, Series, etc…)on the main wiki front page
Couple of caveats
Can youskip any page with a “Cleanup” tag - its useful being able to
distinguish Module pages vs Regular pageswith the Module prefix in that
arearight now
You may get collisions with pages in DeleteMe and possibly TBD-Orphan. You’ll
want to overwrite those if they exist with identical page name.
