Hi everyone!
I’ve been emailing a little bit with Joel, and I just wanted to introduce myself to everybody. I’m hoping to help out with development on VASSAL, both for finishing up 3.2 and for the new version 4.
I received my undergraduate degree in CS and a graduate degree in Software engineering, and I’ve done programming in C++, Java, Objective-C, javascript, and dabbled in many other langauges. I also have done a bunch of iOS development for my work, and I’m starting work on Android development. I’m looking forward to helping target VASSAL for a mobile environment, as I think there has a lot of potential for VASSAL on mobile devices.
I’ve been looking for an open-source project to contribute to, and since I’m an avid board-game player, I think this would be a great project to put some effort into.
I’m looking forward to working with everyone! I’m going to start digging into the code and learning my way around!
