I get this message when I try and load any module it seems. I have increased the setting in preferences and I still get it. Sometimes it loads with units but no map. Any ideas? I am not techi and I have no idea about specs and cards and things but I have the same problem on both my 4 year old PC and 2 year old laptop.
and no I did not. The reason I did not is that the message thing that comes up does not say to do that and to add to my confusion its not in the main preferences its in the module preferences and it never entered my tiny brain that it would be there nor that it would need to be checked.
Perhaps the message needs editing?
However I am pleased to say it seem to have worked.
Your max heap is too large for the amount of RAM you have. You should
leave at least 128MB outside the heap for your OS. This isn’t causing
the errors you’re seeing, but it might be causing poor performance in
other ways.
Yes, it does. The option will be removed entirely in 3.2.
Memory problem when loading/playing Combat Commander.
When I start VASSAL for CC I receive the “Memory too large…”
error code.
Both mems are set @ 128
However, when I choose the Paratrooper module I receive the
“VASSAL has run out of memory notice…” and I’m told that I
need to increase the size (!??) of the memory.
When I try to click on “Cancel” the Module and VASSAL takes a good 5 minutes to close.
