In the properties dialog for your map, you need to check “Can contain
multiple boards?”.

hey thanks for the timely response, I already have that part working, but in VASL there is an option on the main menu, it is called “pick a new boards for this scenario” something like that, anyway it allows you to pick new boards while a game is in progress, do you know how to make that option show up on the main menu?

You’d need some of the custom classes from VASL for that.

No, it’s not impossible, but you can’t do it without understanding
which classes you need from VASL.
