Hi

I play several different games pbem. very often (let’s say 50% of time) I have to reenter my login and password in the preferences folder and also the allocated memory settings when changed. Is it normal? is it something connected to Java updates?

One more question : playing a game I’ve setup my windows and layout of the game the way I find it convinient. When I reopen the log, things aren’t placed the same way (not the counters and cards but the windows and zoom). How could i fix it?

Can you describe more precisely what’s happening? Are the settings not
persisting after you set them, exit VASSAL, restart VASSAL, and open
the same module?

There is presently no way to save the zoom between sessions. Your
window manager should handle saving window locations.

i’m using Windows 7

this happens on all the modules I use. I use them pbem.

Let’s say I start a game by cliking on the log my opponent sent to me. 50% of the time it opens directly on my account with my settings. the other 50% it won’t open with my settings, I look at the preferences and my login and pass have disapeared, same for the special settings like memory dedicated.

When I succesfully log it has never saved the xwindows at the place or in the shape I let them.
