Return to deck bug

I’ve noticed since the latest version of vassal that when you click on return to deck it’s returned to upper-left corner of the screen. That happens only with some players, with other works well. It happens in several modules, Pax Porfiriana for example
Any explanation for that?
Thanks

So you’re saying this didn’t happen in 3.2.1?

I think since the major update 3.2.0 but not sure. And it doesn’t happen to every player, maybe only works to the player that creates the first log in PBEM games but not sure either. I have to check this

I won’t do anything until I know which is the last working release, so
do please let me know when you have time.

Try to download Pax Porfiriana module and load the attached log. Then try to discard a card

I can’t reproduce this with 3.2.3-svn8609. Every card I’ve discarded
has gone back to the discard pile.

Bug is still here, in mostly every module.
Try to reproduce here, you can use the lastest version of vassal:
-Download this module:
mediafire.com/?df3o956r47d72o4
-Load and run the log I attach.
-Go to green player window and right click in discard deck. Draw multiple cards, all of them , and place them outside the deck, anywhere except in the draw pile.
-Right click and return to the bottom of green deck.

I still can’t reproduce what you’re seeing. I loaded your module in
3.2.6-svn8714. I opened your log, chose the observer player, and
played back your log. Then I opened the Green player window, chose
“Draw multiple cards” and specified 5, then dragged them off the
Discard deck. I then tried returning each of them to the Gren deck
via the context menu. Each one went back to the Green deck. I tried
this as the Red player also, with the same result.

Umm… try to log in as green player. I think the bug is related with the player side because the green player can’t but blue player can do it well.

The only players I’m given the option to select are observer, Red, and
Yello.

Without being green it’s imposible to reproduce. I hope other players have the same problem to try resolve it
Thanks anyway

Can you post a log where you’ve resigned from Green at the end of it?
That’s the only way I’ll be able to become Green myself.

To help out the original poster: I think this is the same bug I posted here: https://forum.vassalengine.org/t/send-to-functions-bug-after-viewing-2-consecutive-logs/5887/1

I’m guessing that the issue isn’t which player is active.
The reason it isn’t being reproduced is because it depends on a player loading 2+ consecutive logs posted by other players. After doing so, all ‘send to’ functions break and pieces get sent to 0,0 instead of their destination decks.

If the OP could try the following two tests it could confirm/refute my theory:
Load any log/save, then return a card to a deck (no problem)
As player 3, try loading a log from player 1, stepping through it, loading a log from player 2 as a continuation, stepping through it then returning a card to a deck (it will be sent to 0,0)

Bug 10249 - Deck loses position over loading multiple player logs
