I would like to do a search for modern solo games. Is it possible to do a search for both?
I don’t know how this forum search works, never used it, but I’m sure someone else will answer your question. My advise, in case you haven’t a solution yet, is to use Google search with the AI option. You can post there the same question you posted here. Likely as it is, it will not understand what you are after I suspect. You will need to give more details and examples. Eg “can you list all wargames that can be played solo offered as Vassal modules and set in the period from 19XX to 2XXX?”
If it didn’t get the kind of game modules you are after, it will ask you more details, so to refine your questions. Here you can name some similar games. I don’t usually play solo wargames, but one that I really enjoyed is “First Team Vietnam” published from “The Wargamer” magazine long time ago (search on BGG for details).

I’m now using the Google AI for many searches ranging on many subjects including Vassal Module management (create, modify, etc..) and I’m very impressed by it. There are several other free AI resources online, that may be even better I just started with the google one and I’ve no need to investigate further.

Use the “Advanced Search” button (
) in the search bar, and in the Tags field type in relevant tags, such as
era:modern (it auto-completes on known tags). In the Players input, put 1 and 1 for the minimum and maximum, and possibly check the Exact option.
Alternatively, search on BoardGameGeek, and then see if you can find a corresponding Vassal module in the Game Library.
