SSL certificate

I’m thinking about getting an SSL certificate for vassalengine.org so that we can secure the login page etc. I don’t want to go with a self-signed cert because that’s going to throw up a warning dialog for everyone when they visit the site

Does anybody have any opinions about where to get one? So far I’ve found:

[] GoDaddy offers free certs for open source projects.[/]
[] StartCom also offers free certs[/]

I know my wife would heavily nix GoDaddy from her dealings with them at work

I have heard that they suck quite badly when you have to deal with them
regarding domain registration, but it looks like all it takes for an
SSL cert is filling in a web form.

SSL certificate helps to Protect your private details from hackers . It can also helps to create good opinion(trust) about your website . It increases website traffic. I would suggest you Thewebpole.com to get SSL certificate at affordable cost . I have no idea about Godaddy and StartCom.
