Tech support, not a bug

Is there a way to make PBEM files one continuous game instead of just the one move at a time? If so, is there a way to avoid having to step thru all the old moves?

Right now, I get a file, step thru it, when it says it is at the end of the logfile I agree to start a new one, with a new name, then when I am done moving I save the game to the same filename and quite, and when it prompts to save the logfile I say yes.

(btw I think that means I am saving the same file three times)

But it would be nice to have a way to string all the moves together to go back over. Maybe ideally if they were in a seperate file so you would not have to step thru them if you did not want to and just wanted the current move. Not a feature request, just wondering if there is already a way to do that.

Thus spake “IrishBouzouki”:

If you’re sending one log back and forth, you should have all of the moves
for a game in one file.

What you should do is start a log before you step through the moves.

This is something I’ve been planning for quite some time, but I haven’t been
able to do it yet because it’s taken much, much longer to release 3.1 than
I expected and I’ve had far too many commitments since April that I was
unable to duck. I expect to work on logging improvements for 3.2 or 3.3.
