Tiling of images no longer used in a module

I originally included very large images of the rules in my module. So I shrunk the images, changed the name of the files and replaced the original (Chart Window Menu > Scrollable List > Chart).

My module size still reflects that those large images are still in there, and when Vassal is tiling on an initial load of the module it still processes those large files (I can tell by the file names).

Is there a way to clear the unused images in a module?

Modules are ZIP archives. Unzip the module. Delete the unused images.
Rezip the module.
