Version 6 of the Empire of the Sun module has been released. Refer to the module page for new features but the most relevant change is the addition of the South Pacific map and scenario to the main module.
In the South Pacific scenario setup I think there should be a Japanese army air unit in Buna.
Ok, I’ll check out. Worst case players just need to manually put the air unit there. It can go into 6.0.1.4
The thing is it’s the Tainan air unit which is an event unit. It’s not available from the Japanese reinforcement schedule. It’s the unit between the Tokyo Express and Comb Fleet Oza. So, it can’t be manually added.
Also, shouldn’t the Japanese ASP counter read 0/7?
You can drag it from the Eliminated Units Pile.
No, because of Interservice Rivalry only half of the ASPs (rounded up) are available
Ok, I see it in the eliminated pile. For this scenario tho, I think they get 7 ASP despite the ISR rule. It’s in the setup.
Let me explain the mechanic better. Japan actually does have 7 ASP that’s why the counter is on the 7 space of strategic record track. However only 4 are available to use. That’s what 0/4 means. It’s meant to remind the player they can only use 4 out of 7 ASP. That doesn’t have to do with the setup. That’s the ISR rule.
Ah, I see. Guess I’ve been doing it wrong all this time. Thanks for the updated module!
