VASSAL 3.1.0-beta1

Thus spake “Rodney Kinney”:

I think 3.2 will be even more eye-catching, but I’m very happy with
3.1 right now.

Yes, I’ll do that.

Up to the NPE, those are “normal” exceptions. They aren’t reported
anymore in the trunk, so will be gone in beta2. I’ll look into the other
exceptions.

Noted.

On the Mac, not really, unless you look into the app bundle. Is that
a problem? I think the tour is more accessible now that it’s on the Help
menu than it was before.

Thanks.

I would say it’s not a blocker. It’s nice if people are able to open the Tour in the editor to see how it works.

Oh. I hadn’t considered that… Maybe we should add an ‘Edit the Tour’
item to the Help menu?

Will that work? What happens when they try to save?

When starting a new game, the menu entries for Predefined Setups are not being disabled. The regular “New Game” menu item is disabled properly.

Also, the Predefined Setup’s “New Game” menu is supposed to replace the regular “New Game” menu item, but the File menu appears to contain both.

Thus spake “Rodney Kinney”:

Shouldn’t it be exactly the other way around? “New Game” is being disabled
improperly?

That was an intentional change.

Thus spake “Rodney Kinney”:

What were you doing when that happened? I haven’t been able to reproduce
it myself. Does it happen for you with svn ? (I’m uploading that now.)

After you’ve opened the Tour, it shows up in the Module List, just like
a regular module. You can edit it from there the same way you would a
normal module. It’s always nice to discover a feature which you didn’t
create intentionaly.
