We've Switched News Feeds

See here: vassalengine.org/news/2014/0 … ews-feeds/

Please let us know if you see any problems.

With the old news feed you could click on it and then it would point you to the module, now you click on it and it gives you error 404 not found.

When posting new news about upgrades etc. I take it we can’t post the same way? What about once a user clicks on the news to read it the ability to point it to the module like before.

Cheers

Try now. The URL to WordPress changed between when I imported the
old news items and when we turned on the new news feed.

No, news submission is unchanged.

Well it’s partially fixed. I can now click on the news event and it takes me to the page so I can now read anything posted. But when I click on the game link it’s still sending me to 404 unknown. I posted WWII: Barbarossa to Berlin and I am seeing my feed now but can’t go to the module when I click on the link. Just to make sure I tried a half dozen others and again I can read what is posted but the link sends you to 404. Thank you for your efforts so far for working on this.

Links were exported from the old news feed unchanged. Unfortunately, the
old news feed stored them as relative links rather than as absolute
links. I’ve modified them to be absolute, so they should point to the
intended locations now.

Hey Uckelman, real life kept me away. Thanks for the fixes, all seems to be working well now on my end.
