When is 3.6 expected?

The reason I ask is there is a specific function (allowing stacking but ignoring the map grid) that will only be available starting in 3.6 that I need for the module I’m currently working on.

any updates?

We are pulling together the pieces to try and get a beta-1 out asap, within a week perhaps? There is some more functionality I want to get in there, but am getting killed at work at the moment, so there will be more goodies in the beta 2.

Thanks for the update! Would it be possible to get in on the beta when released?

Our betas are public. We announce them here and in various other places, so just keep an eye out.

Also, remember that test builds are always available here: vassalengine.org/builds/

The naming convention is: VASSAL-$VERSION-SNAPSHOT-$GIT_COMMIT-$BRANCH_IF_NOT_MASTER-$PACKAGE_TYPE

As we’re only a few days out from 3.6.0-beta1, the master-branch 3.6.0 test builds will be fairly near to what 3.6.0-beta1 will be, so you might find it worth trying one of those test builds.

We released 3.6.0-beta1 today.
