Why aren't there PBF forums?

It seems to me that these forums can be a nice place to run Vassal PBF games (as opposed to PBEM). I think PBF is much cleaner and elegant than PBEM. However, it looks like PBF is not possible on these forums because uploading .vlog files is not allowed. Why is that? (And will it be bad form to zip .vlog files and attach them as .zip? Or simply rename the extension? Will I be banned if I try this or will my PBF thread be locked?)

Renaming the .vlog to .zip will let you upload it. The other player can then just change the .zip to .vlog.

I haven’t heard of any restrictions on doing something like that.

Ok, so if renaming extensions to .zip is allowed, why not allow uploading of .vlog files in the first place?

I wasn’t aware that the forum did not permit attaching VASSAL’s own
file types.
