With the Map Shading, I am allowed to check a box to start the shading turned ON. With the Area of Effect trait, it would be extremely helpful to have a similar check box to start the Area of Effect trait turned ON when a unit is placed on the map.
I have a unit that I need to start with the Area of Effect trait turned on when created. This unit is upgraded by activating a different layer in the unit. The highlight needs to be removed when upgraded (currently no problem doing that). If the upgraded unit is eliminated, the unit is replaced by the non-gradable unit that can be later upgraded again. I have had to put in a lot of extra coding to do this currently, but with the check box on the Area of Effects trait allowing the Area of Effect to be on when the unit is placed on the map would be very helpful.
