Can you a make a portion of a counter invisislbe?

I have a counter with the following traits

Basic Piece - 'counter square and basic color)
Silhouette Layer - unit symbol
Strength layer - units numerical combat numbers
Mask -conceals counter buy showing a blank backside.

What I want to do is have a layer that permanently has information on it that only the owning player can see (say a red dot to indicate the unit has a special ability for example) when unmasked.

The problem is if I use the invisible [i]before[i] Basic piece everything before that is invisible but the owning player cannot see the ‘dot’ because it is below the basic piece layer.

Thanks in advance.

Use a mask instead and have it cover only the part of the image you are
concerned about and inaccessible to other player unless you turn off the
mask (restrict the mask command to the owning player or side)
