Is there any way to add the typical [Dice Button] to the toolbar of a [Player Hand]?

I don’t think the Dice Button can be added outside of the module top level, though Action Buttons were enabled in Vassal 3.7 so I imagine it would be a feasible request for a future version of Vassal.

Presumably your goal is to have the button display the die roll result? Otherwise, I would suggest an Action Button that generates a Hotkey to do the roll using a Dice Button defined at the module level.

Yes, that was my intention, to show the dice in the toolbar. But for now, your workaround works perfectly!
