Game Piece Layout: Text Label can it display a property?

Hello, I have a Text Label defined on a prototype called Rarity. I can display $Rarity$ using a Marker on an individual pice, but actually what i want to do is use a Text Label (or Text BoX) on a Game Piece Layout to display $Rarity$. What I actually get when I do this is “$Rarity$”, rather than the value. Is this possible?

For my current project, I have a Prototype with a Dynamic Property called Damage. I can then reference $Damage$ on the Game Piece that uses this prototype. How have you declared $Rarity$ in your prototype?

Tried that but could not get it to work on the layout, only on the Single Piece (which is where I have left it since this wasn’t worth further time!)
