You can see that from my strings that there is no front * but I added an endcap * just for symmetry.
But I think I would like to remove both the front and back *'s. To remove the back is easy. But where can I find the place that is automatically putting the first * in by default?
Nothing? So I take it there is no way to stop that first * from popping up in all messages, or even use an HTML code to change it to something else?
Auto-reporting starts with an asterisk to distinguish it from other types of messages, e.g., ones typed by players.
