I am trying to build a new game that uses hex tiles for the board. I am having problems figuring out how big the tiles should be v the hex grid.
I did some experimentation with a test copy of the SPQR delux module as this module has the right hex appearance for my needs. SPQR has a hex grid with hexes 110.3999999999 pixels wide by 95.8999 wide. I tried creating some blanks 110x96 and placed then on the grid but there is a margin around them when the board is magnified. I have started messing around with different sizes now but is there an easier way of doing this?
