Is it possible to take random side?

Hi,
is there a way to start a play with random playerside?

For now, you have to do that manually, outside of Vassal or co-opting a dice roll if the module provides one. You could even provide a specific random side draw that can bring up the side chooser for the user to make the final step. For examples of the later, look at Commands & Colors: Ancients v4 (Toolbar button) or Napoleonics v5 (Action button on main map). , However, there’s no facility to bypass the side chooser.

I have developed a feature that will allow module designers to control side selection, including a random choice, but it will not be released until Vassal 3.8, if at all. Also, it probably needs a bit more work to integrate smoothly with the Vassal Editor.
