Looking for someone interested in making a module for a game I been playing

I don’t know if I’m allowed to state the game but it’s a fairly easy WW2 8th Airforce solo game. been farting around trying to make my own mod but I suck.

Why wouldn’t you? If you are concerned about copyright, then merely mentioning its name cannot be an infringement. If you are concerned about security issues, then you are most likely not allowed to show it to anyone - which would be need someone is to implement a Vassal module of it.

Perhaps a way to go about it would be the following:

  • Create a project for the module - see How to upload modules to the Game Library
    • You may want to call the game something like WIP: My most fantastic 8th Airforce WWII solo game (WIP=Work-In-Progress)
  • Upload your current best effort of a module as release 0.0.0-wip
  • Then advertise the module project and solicit help.
  • If anyone picks it up, add them as co-owners of the project so they may upload new releases of the module.

Once the project as matured, you can move to release 1.0.0 and remove the WIP from the game title.

If you need pointers on how to make Vassal modules, be sure to check out Module Creation and all its sub-pages (e.g., Video tutorials on module development).

Yours,
Christian
