procedural laying tile maps vs. Chits

hey folks, the game i’m working on has a tile map that is laid out and customized for each particular game. With 1 map it’s
easy to just load the large image and not have any conflict beyond that. but with multiple tiles and chits,bits,cards,etc. being laid
on top of them i’m thinking that could get a little weird in vassal.

I’m just wondering if there was any functionality in the software to deal with this yet?

a real gameplay example i can think of is archipelago were you lay the tiles out as you explore and place your meeple on those tiles for area control. Or i suppose settlers of catan were you have a random map with chits being played ontop.


Take a look at modules with similar mechanics such as Carcassonne - it is a random tile laying game also
